A cozy wedding at Theater on the Lake was exactly what Ginny and Jordan envisioned from the very beginning. They wanted every guest to feel like they were getting a giant hug from the two of them while experiencing the version of Chicago they know and love. From getting married where they got engaged to celebrating just steps from their first apartment together, every part of the day pulled a thread from their story. 

The day began at the Ambassador Hotel, where the excitement was impossible to miss. Ginny slipped into a breathtaking floral jacquard gown by Jenny Yoo NYC, while her bridesmaids wore flowing dusty blue dresses that added the prettiest touch of color. Their classic glam looks by Rare Bird Beauties hair and makeup artist made everyone feel like a million bucks. 

Before heading to the ceremony, Ginny and Jordan shared a quiet first look on the hotel’s rooftop.

With the Chicago skyline surrounding them, they exchanged personal vows before the celebration officially began. I photographed a lot of this moment through the window, and I loved that they had a truly private moment. They got to really embrace the “it’s our wedding day” excitement!

Ginny & Jordan made a stop at  Lincoln Park for portraits with their crew. They looked like they were straight out of a magazine, surrounded by blooming spring trees. The soft white florals by Flowers for Dreams Weddings paired perfectly with the season, creating a chic, romantic look.

These two have the best of friends. Everyone brought the hype and energy to celebrate the start of their new life together. We laughed and talked our way through the park for their formal photos. They were so fun, it flew by! It was quickly ceremony time!

The ceremony inside the venue perfectly reflected the couple’s vision of “elevated comfort.”

Floor-to-ceiling drapery softened the industrial space while candlelight and lush white arrangements created an atmosphere that felt intimate, inviting, and unmistakably Chicago.

After their beautiful ceremony, they joined the guests for cocktail hour on the patio. They were on cloud 9!! 

As the sun began to set, I snuck outside with the new Mr. & Mrs. to get some sunset newlywed photos with the Chicago skyline in the background. These were some of my favorites from their whole album! 

One of my favorite things about this day was how intentional every choice felt. Ginny and Jordan wanted the comfort of a backyard wedding without actually hosting it in their backyard. They wanted guests to experience their version of Chicago. From rooftop skyline views to Lincoln Park portraits and a sunset overlooking Lake Michigan, every location felt personal instead of simply iconic.
