There is just something absolutely freakin’ magical about a wedding day that feels completely intertwined with the city where it happens. This celebration in Lincoln Park was exactly that.
The day started at The Thompson Hotel, where excitement was already in the air. Family members filled the rooms, all the old stories were being shared, and everyone was counting down the minutes until the ceremony. As a photographer, I love all the anticipatory joy. One of my favorite details was the bride’s custom Danielle Frankel gown. It was modern and editorial while still being timeless. The kind of dress that turns heads today and will still look incredible decades from now. And wow, she looked STUNNING.
These two shared their first look on the rooftop of the hotel before heading out to Board of Trades for portraits. I loved the old Chicago vibe of their bride & groom photos. Honestly I don’t think I’ll ever be over how chic they looked!!

Basically, it was the perfect setting for a couple who wanted their wedding to feel elegant while still embracing the city they love so much.
These two said I Do in front of their friends and family in a gorgeous indoor ceremony space. As a photographer, I immediately noticed (and appreciated) the gorgeous large windows letting in all the natural light. I’ll forever love a ceremony completely wrapped up in afternoon sun.

Their OMG WE JUST GOT MARRIED aura was amazing.
Afterward, we made sure to snap some photos with their GORGEOUS wedding party on the steps outside. And also some iconic bridal photos in the late afternoon lighting.

The floral design by Thistle & Plume added beautiful texture and softness throughout the space. Guests enjoyed an incredible meal from Paramount Events before spending the evening on the dance floor. Every detail felt intentional and curated.
What stood out most was the warmth of the day. So many loved ones had traveled to Chicago to celebrate. You could feel just how meaningful it was for everyone to be together.
The newlyweds spent their celebration spinning on the dance floor. Laughing with their friends. Eating cake. And reveling in the reality that they were starting their new life together at last.
