Dora the Explorer came in handy for me several times during these two’s wedding day – the cute golden-doodles you see below are bilingual and therefore smarter than me. As one was making a beeline to the creek, I word-vomited every Spanish phrase I knew in hopes that he would redirect. He did, thanks to the groomsmen that tackled him. Between the mountains of guacamole, horchata, and salsa dancing, the Latin vibes were strong on Laura and Josh’s wedding day. Friends from Mexico City were skyped in for the ceremony, the pastor prayed in Spanish and Laura and Josh surprised all of the wedding guests by breaking out in a salsa for their first dance.
Little touches throughout the day reflected just how completely good-hearted these two humans are. Between wearing her mom’s veil, sending out bilingual invitations, gifting each other scripted bibles, and making sure that every single person that attended their day had a hug and a conversation, Laura and Josh deserved a perfect wedding day and that’s exactly what they got. The first week of their marriage will be spent in Greece and although I’m crazy jealous, they definitely deserve it too because they sorta froze their butts off in the drastic October weather change.
Love you two and can’t wait to see how many hearts and souls you affect on all your crazy world journeys. I’ll be in touch when I need you to remodel my house and teach my dog Spanish. All the love – xx, M & C
