It was a a common theme throughout their wedding day- everyone that spoke about Karlie and Nick stated the same words of praise- this couple lives to serve others. Between Karlie’s job at a non-for-profit, caring for children day in and day out and Nicks love for sports and coaching, they are a force of servanthood and have the warmest hearts.
On their wedding day, moments before the ceremony, they met around a corner of the stairwell to pray. At the touch of their hands, before a single word was able to escape Karlie’s lips, Nick could already sense the excitement, anxiety, and emotion that overwhelmed his bride. And as he requested that she take not one, but multiple, deep breaths, the stress melted away from Karlie. As happy tears streamed down her cheeks, her face broke into a smile as her future husband prayed over them.
Karlie and Nick, I’m forever thankful that I had the honor of being a part of your day. Your family made me feel like a long, lost member and it’s clear where you two got your heart for others (as well as those dashingly good looks). I’ll be thinking of you for the next ten days as you sip on cocktails on the beaches of Fiji. You two deserve it more than anyone. xx- M
